Avito: “demand for mining equipment is growing in Russia”

Analysts at Avito, Russia’s largest ad service, have found a noticeable increase in demand for mining equipment. The number of requests for this topic has grown by 45% over the month.
According to analysts, the growth of requests for the search for mining equipment began on October 21. At the same time, the number of ads for the sale of devices for mining cryptocurrencies began to decline.

The reason for the increase in demand is quite commonplace – it is the rise in the rate of bitcoin and most altcoins. Today, bitcoin is trading at about $ 18,300, and in the last week alone, the BTC rate has grown by 12%, and more than fourfold from the lows of March.

Thanks to the increase in the price of bitcoin, miners’ profits returned to levels prior to the halving of the block mining reward in May. Therefore, potential buyers at Avito expect to get a quick profit from cryptocurrency mining.

In September, it was reported that demand from miners increased sales of video cards for mining cryptocurrencies by 49% at once. And sales of video cards based on Nvidia chips have doubled at once.

The demand for ASIC miners is growing even faster, and manufacturers can no longer cope with the volume of orders. Bitmain and MicroBT are already selling pre-orders six months in advance, with shipments no earlier than April-May next year.
